The Bedminster School community recognizes that instruction and learning can be greatly enhanced by the use of technology. Students will use technology in order to become effective contributors in a global society.
Student growth and learning will be supported by instructional activities that effectively utilize emerging technologies.
Students will use technology as a tool to develop skills and to provide experiences that create a passion for inquiry and life-long learning.
Teachers will incorporate technology in order to facilitate learning that allows our students to create and express, communicate, share and collaborate, investigate and discover, and analyze, apply, and demonstrate.
Teachers will engage in student-centered practices that support the foundations of teaching and learning as they guide our students.
Teachers will be supported in the acquisition of requisite skills that enhance teaching and advance technology-based proficiencies.
In order to ensure that the environment supports these objectives for teaching and learning, technology tools and supporting resources will:
Be available to every student and staff member
Be readily accessible, every day
Be used to differentiate learning and provide assistive technologies to those in need
Be used to support students and staff members with disabilities
Extend self-directed learning beyond the "school walls"

Be used to support the development of higher order thinking skills
In order to remain current and meet our students' needs in a rapidly changing world, we will monitor, review, and assess the effectiveness of the materials and methods used. As new possibilities emerge, we will be prepared to determine what is best for our students and provide for them, as we are able, seeking input from our stakeholders.
We want to use technology for learning to enhance and execute curriculum as well as touch on differentiating learning within the classroom. Master objectives through enhancing and executing curriculum.
We want to accomplish educating every student in various modes of technology use regardless of ability. Master objective, reach a higher and more authentic level of learning.
We want technology to support student learning by engaging the students of all technology education levels, within all content areas and at varying learning abilities and/or disabilities. Extending past the school day, 24x7.
Technology should be infused in every area throughout the day/year as appropriate at home and school.
We want teachers to incorporate technology by various tools such as Internet access, MS-Office products (Word, PowerPoint), interactive technologies (interactive whiteboards), overhead projectors when necessary, laptops, headsets, microphones, travel drives, usb cords, digital cameras, podcasting, wikis, and the sort. Students will be exposed to technologies each and every day depending on the lesson and activity. Technology needs to be readily accessible to each and every student, any period of the day. We will facilitate, but students will also be learning from one another. This will be an effective and fun way to execute and deliver the curriculum.
We will prepare and enable teachers to incorporate technology into the learning process through PD, PLCs, modeling, student centered situations, and collaboration.
