My vision is that all students will learn in an enjoyable environment that involves many different types of technology. Students will be engaged in differentiated learning through various tools such as Internet access, MS-Office products (Word, PowerPoint), interactive technologies (interactive whiteboards), overhead projectors when necessary, laptops, headsets, microphones, travel drives, usb cords, digital cameras, podcasting, wikis, and the sort. Students will be exposed to technologies each and every day depending on the lesson and activity. Technology needs to be readily accessible to each and every student, any period of the day. I will facilitate, but students will also be learning from one another. This will be an effective and fun way to execute and deliver the curriculum.

All students will be introduced to the technologies and will turn key the learning of these tools to their peers. This will happen by me teaching a student who will then act as the resident expert with that skill or tool. That resident expert will then teach another student, and so on. Different students will act as resident experts based on skill, knowledge, ability, and interest level. All students will be given opportunities in an environment that leads them to a successful outcome. This type of teaching and learning will build on current skills, expand knowledge, allow for students to take chances in a supportive and successful situation. Students will be able to experiment and enhance their technology skills, and not be limited to having to use only one type of technology.

Example:
TSWBAT use existing knowledge learned in the general education and technology classroom settings, and research given links to collaborate and develop a presentation that will in turn be used as a study guide. It will be developed using MS-Powerpoint which is used starting in the beginning of grade 4 within the general education setting. A student will be taught how to open and save a MS-Ppt. document in the correct file/folder. Another student will be taught how to create a new slide presentation and add text. Another student will learn how to insert and delete slides. One will learn how to copy and paste text and slides. Another will learn how to insert pictures, cite resources, merge slides, use a travel drive to save slides, etc. TSW summarize by using textbook and class notes along with information from given web links to develop slides on the laptops. TSW collaborate and work in groups of three at the five laptops located in the classroom. They will discuss, research, rotate and input data on slides that will in turn be merged into one classwide presentation. TSW cite any sites where they received information, and they will embed links that were used to show their classmates where the information was from. TSW revise and edit the slides once they are handed out. All changes on the slides will come from student input. TSWT present their slides to the class.
